Cornwall Council Chooses Exor Software to Ensure TMA Compliance
When the latest phase of the Traffic Management Act 2004 was introduced last year, Highways Authorities were faced with making significant changes to the way they operated to ensure that roads were being managed effectively in line with TMA requirements. By implementing web-based TMA compliant software, Cornwall Highways, Maintenance and Construction (CORMAC) has been able to fulfil its Network Management Duties, minimising road congestion and disruption to vehicles and pedestrians. The software supplied by Exor Corporation enables CORMAC to comply with new Noticing requirements and ensures better works management and co-operation between traffic authorities and utilities.

Exor System enables Northamptonshire to Become First Council to Successfully Collect on TMA Fixed Penalty Notices
The Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA) has allowed Local Authorities the ability to issue Fixed Penalty Notices (FPN’s) to works promoters that fail to correctly inform the Authority of the status of any piece of work planned or being undertaken on any of the roads within the Authority’s area. Northamptonshire County Council has been a principle organisation at the forefront of TMA delivery in the UK and is the first Local Authority to successfully enforce an electronic FPN using specialist Street Works software from Exor Corporation.

Parity Between Utilities and Local Authority in East Sussex…
East Sussex County Council (ESCC) is taking a unique approach to the Traffic Management Act (TMA) and is imposing the same exacting financial penalties on its own street works notices as it does on utilities.
Under the TMA authorities in England and Wales are required to show parity for street works notices, but in January 2007 East Sussex took this a step further and ensured its term maintenance contractor, May Gurney, has a contractual obligation to pay financial penalties if they submit incorrect notices.
